Privacy policy

Bestie helps you look after your relationships, and that means you trust us with personal information about the people in your life. We take that seriously. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and how we use it.
What we store
- Your account: your name, email address and sign-in details.
- The people you add, and anything you choose to save about them: names, photos, birthdays, contact details, notes, interactions and plans.
- Your preferences, such as reminder times, your default tone and your onboarding answers.
What we don’t do
- We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We never read your messages or connect to your messaging apps.
- We never send messages on your behalf.
- We never show your people or notes to anyone else.
How we use it
Your data is used only to run Bestie for you: working out suggestions, showing your history and progress, and helping you write messages. When you use “Help me write”, the details needed for that message (such as the person’s name, relationship, your notes and recent interactions) are sent to an AI provider to generate a draft. They aren’t used for anything else.
Your control
- Edit or delete any person, note, interaction or plan at any time.
- Export everything as a file from Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings. This permanently removes all of your data.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with a managed database provider. Every request is checked against your signed-in account, so only you can access your information.
Questions
If you have questions about your privacy, contact the Bestie team through the email address you signed up with.
